Last updated: [release date TBD]
Unpublished Four Tracks draft. This page is prepared for a future backend and app release. The features and changes below are not live. Release dates, agreement wording, and controls marked [label TBD] still need review.
What is CD?
CD is an iPhone app for spontaneous plans when you’re bored or have a little time to spare. You write an ask about something you want to do. People who receive it can reply, and you choose whether to open a conversation and make a plan. Places, activities, clubs, and their flyers can give you ideas or context for an ask. Every ask still looks for people first.
Is it really that simple?
Yeah, it’s that simple. I designed it that way. CD is for an hour between classes, a free afternoon, or a last-minute idea. You can write an ask directly or explore the optional third-places map. There’s no endless catalog of profiles to browse. The aim is to keep the planning short so you can spend the time together.
Who can use it?
CD is for adults 18 and older in the United States. Use your own Apple account and accurate account information. Flyers and events can set a minimum age from 18 to 100. Your birthday is checked against it. If a later age increase puts you below the limit, you can’t be newly invited or reply to or accept an open invitation for that listing. An asker below the new limit can’t reach more people with that ask.
Do I have to speak?
No. Choose Type to write, or Speak instead to open the recorder. Starting a recording does not upload it; you choose when to turn it into text.
Saving words in you also requests detail suggestions while AI processing is allowed. You review them before keeping anything. Older app versions may show earlier controls. The privacy policy explains the agreement, audio, and suggestions. Whether this release needs a new agreement version is still under review.
Can I turn AI processing off?
Yes. Open settings → your agreement → turn off AI processing and wait for confirmation. Private typed drafts can still be saved, but new transcription, AI detail suggestions, photo checks, and other actions requiring AI checks stop. You can deliberately agree to the current policies to allow it again. Old drafts and recordings are not processed automatically.
Turning AI off doesn’t erase stored matching topics or stop them being used. Turn a detail’s use this for matching off or remove the detail to stop that use. Existing matching details may match more activity asks after this release because an asker’s related activities can overlap with topics already saved. Club memberships, flyer choices, and listing suggestions don’t use AI. Read how the setting works.
Is my information public?
There is no public catalog of people. Your birthday, drafts, recordings, and preferences, including whether you receive flyers, stay private. In details, use this for matching and show this on my profile are separate choices. Your approved photos, the details you choose to show, and clubs you separately choose to show can appear in an actual invitation or connection. Clubs must still be approved in your saved city, and ended connections show no clubs. An attached listing can appear as context. Read the privacy policy for the full explanation.
Is identity verification required?
Identity verification is optional. Skipping it leaves the app available. The current development build uses simulated Stripe test checks, marked as tests; those checks do not establish real identity or age. A verification badge never guarantees someone’s conduct.
Does receiving an invitation mean I have to reply?
No. An invitation does not say that you are available. You can decline it, leave it unanswered, or pause new invitations in settings. A flyer needs no reply either. Pausing also stops new flyers and flyer notices; flyers already delivered remain in meet. Follow the community guidelines and respect other people’s choices.
What are clubs and flyers?
Clubs are groups I approve for CD’s catalog. Flyers are notices about their gatherings that I approve and publish. Clubs have no CD accounts and can’t message you. A flyer never poses as a person or arrives as a personal invitation.
You add memberships yourself, with up to 30 approved clubs in your saved city. AI never infers a membership, and CD never sends it to a club. Each membership has three separate permissions, all off at first: using it for matching, showing it on your profile, and welcoming newcomers. Membership controls: [label TBD].
You can attach an eligible place, event, club, or flyer to an ordinary ask, or receive listing suggestions around an ask. Attachment and suggestion controls: [label TBD]. A listing doesn’t vouch for a group, and marking yourself as going doesn’t book anything or confirm admission.
How do flyers reach me?
You opt in with the flyer preference, which starts off. Flyer preference control: [label TBD]. CD uses your saved city, age, and matching interests to find relevant flyers, with at most two delivered in any seven days. Flyers you only see as suggestions don’t use that limit. A club’s own members come after relevant non-members in delivery order.
You can mark a flyer as going, not going, or dismissed. While going, you can separately choose to be findable. Flyer response controls: [label TBD]. Being going and findable lets activity and hangout asks attaching that flyer reach you, even with hangouts off. Allowing matching and welcoming newcomers for a non-sensitive club lets those asks attaching the club or its flyers reach you too. Leaving a club or turning its matching off ends that newcomer reach and turns findability off on its flyers; your going response stays.
Pausing stops new flyers and their notices. A flyer notice says “a club posted a flyer for you” without naming the club or listing. Receiving flyers is free.
Can clubs see who’s going?
No. Clubs receive no names, member lists, or responses. A going count appears in the app once three or more people are going. It includes people who aren’t findable. There’s no attendee list. Being findable lets relevant asks reach you; it doesn’t put you on a public list.
What about sensitive clubs?
Faith, recovery, identity, politics, and health clubs get extra protections. Their category is never shown. Showing one on your profile or choosing to welcome newcomers needs an extra confirmation each time you save that choice. Welcoming newcomers has no matching effect for a sensitive club.
Their flyers reach only members who allow matching for that club and have flyers on. Sensitive clubs stay out of club lists unless you’re a member. They and their flyers are never suggested or attachable. Leaving one or turning its matching off also expires its pending flyers and turns off findability on its flyers. Extra confirmation control: [label TBD].
How do I report a listing?
Use the listing-report control, [label TBD], for a club, flyer, or place. Choose a reason: spam, misleading, unsafe, inappropriate, or other. You can add up to 2,000 characters. Listing reports share a limit of ten per day with reports about people.
The listing disappears from your suggestions. If you report a flyer that’s pending or marked going, it’s dismissed for you, won’t be delivered to you again, and can’t be marked going. Reporting a club doesn’t automatically stop all its flyers, and reports don’t hide listings from browse lists. I review listing reports and may withdraw a listing for everyone. Listing reports have no appeal and never suspend a person.
Where are third places?
Open the top-right menu and choose third places. Tap a pin to see a place and its listed events. The map uses your saved city and shows public venues, not people’s locations. It uses Apple Maps without requesting a new device location or tracking your movement.
Choose find people for this to prepare an editable ask about a place or event. You review and send it; an existing draft stays unless you choose to replace it. In an active chat, use explore third places, then suggest in this chat to prepare message text you can edit before sending. Neither action books a place, buys admission, or confirms attendance.
How does a club get listed?
Email me at brandon@solsk.app. I approve every listing before publication.
[Brandon decision TBD: confirm what a club must send and how real listings will be reviewed before publishing these instructions.]
Are conversations private?
Text conversations use end-to-end encryption. Keep your recovery key somewhere safe: without it or a verified device, old messages may be unrecoverable. Chat is not sent to AI. If you choose to report messages, you select and review the evidence before sending it.
What do paid plans change?
Paid plans increase weekly asks and the maximum number of suitable people each new ask can reach: Free 4, Starter 12, Plus 30, and Max 100. An existing ask keeps the limit saved when you sent it. Payment never gives your ask priority ahead of another person’s ask or guarantees a reply. Nobody pays to rank people. Receiving invitations or flyers, replying, and chatting are free. The app shows the available price and renewal terms before purchase; terms of use explain the plan rules.
What if CD cannot confirm its connection?
Check that your iPhone has an internet connection, then try again. If the same message keeps returning, contact brandon@solsk.app with the message and your app version. Do not send passwords, Apple sign-in codes, identity documents, or chat recovery keys.
How do I export or delete my information?
Open settings → privacy & safety → export my data. Alongside account information, the export includes memberships, flyer preferences and responses, listing reports with their IDs and text, related topics, and attachments on your own asks. It includes stored memberships even when their clubs are withdrawn or in another city. It doesn’t include invitation or connection attachments, listing topics copied onto an ask, stored listing suggestions, flyer weekly counts, scores, private chat text, or recovery keys.
Use settings → delete account for account deletion, with fresh Apple confirmation. Deletion removes memberships, flyer responses and counts, listing reports, suggestions, preview receipts, and your asks and invitations with their attachments. Reports about people, appeals, and some operational records remain for their stated retention periods, and the other person can retain a connection’s attachment until they remove its history. Deleting CD or its account does not cancel an Apple subscription. The support page explains the export, deletion limits, and account help.
